I served as one of the co-editors for my school's Integrated Marketing Communication blog, which gave me experience with WordPress's website building tools and strengthened my copywriting, copyediting, and formatting skills. In this in-depth case study, I analyzed the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion efforts of the Disney brand across some of its social media platforms, its company websites, and news articles. I compare the brand's image as it is created through owned and shared media with actual brand perception as it has been reported in earned media. This long-form piece of writing showcases my ability to synthesize information from multiple sources, perform original analysis, and demonstrates my ability to work with multimodal formats.
In my Strategic Writing for IMC course, I was tasked with writing original copy across a variety of mediums for Half United, a local brand whose mission was to sell ethically created jewelry and accessories that also helped to feed those in need. The short portfolio below demonstrates my ability to maintain consistent brand voice and aesthetic for a print ad, a blog post, a press release, and a radio ad.
